San Francisco

40 Gold Street

Let’s kick off by answering the obvious question: Yes, the technology industry is certainly a focus in our San Francisco office. But as the agency has evolved, so have we. With 15 years under our belt as the agency’s HQ, our focus and capabilities now extend well beyond Silicon Valley, thanks to our team of integrated experts providing incredible, results-driven work to consumer, corporate and technology clients alike. And, while meeting the needs of clients as diverse as Driscoll’s and Waze certainly keeps us busy, we somehow always manage to find time to enjoy our new office’s rooftop lounge (or at least the roving beer cart that comes around every Friday).

San Francisco in the Hot Seat

  • Office anthem: "Run The World," Beyonce
  • What are the first three things people should see when they visit/move to your city? Bike across the Golden Gate Bridge, eat at the Ferry Building, see a Giants game at AT&T Park
  • Comparative TV show: No shame here….The Bachelor/Bachelorette. We’re super fans!

Hours in San Francisco

With just 24 hours to spare, start the day early at the Ferry Building Marketplace, a foodie’s utopia that houses a vast collection of gourmet food shops, fresh produce stands and local culinary delights. After chowing down on the pier with the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island in the background, grab a cup of award-winning Blue Bottle Coffee to go and head west to begin your San Francisco adventure.

Make a pit stop at Alamo Square Park to take in the iconic postcard view of the colorful Victorian houses known as the “Painted Ladies.” Then head to the Haight-Ashbury district, known for being the epicenter of the 1960s hippie movement, and browse the vintage boutiques and massive independent record store, Amoeba Music. Once you’ve gotten your retail therapy fill, follow Haight Street straight into Golden Gate Park and take the scenic route to the de Young Museum, where you can check out famous works of art from the Americas, Africa and Oceana. If rainforests and planetariums are more your thing, the California Academy of Sciences is right across the way. Next, make your way to the west end of the park and enjoy an ocean-side lunch at the Beach Chalet. After lunch, head north up the shore to Lands End and wander the trail for stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the epic ruins of Sutro Baths.

As the sun sets over the city, get yourself to the Mission District, San Francisco’s oldest neighborhood now home to many of the hottest new restaurants and hippest galleries. Grab dinner on the patio of Foreign Cinema, where you can munch on fresh California cuisine while enjoying a foreign film screening in the courtyard background. After dinner, explore the nightlife on the lively Valencia Street corridor one block away, or nurture your competitive spirit at the newly opened Mission Bowling Club, where you can down classic cocktails and craft beers in between strikes.
