Allison+Partners Expands to Korea

Allison+Partners has further expanded its footprint in Asia after developing a strategic partnership with three of the fastest-growing PR firms in Seoul, Korea. M&K PR, MOS Communications and SMC will come together to form Allison+Partners Korea, a full-service communications agency that specializes in communications consulting, media relations, digital PR and marketing for both consumer and B2B clients. Seoul is the agency’s 11th office in the Asia-Pacific region and the 30th globally.

“Korea is a vibrant market, particularly in the technology sector, making it a critical place for us to have talent on the ground who can help clients navigate the communications landscape,” said Jonathan Heit, Allison+Partners’ co-founder and global president. “We are fortunate to partner with an incredibly capable team with such broad expertise. They are also a tremendous cultural fit for our agency.”

M&K Founder Mina Jeong, Jacklin Kim of Moscomm and YR Yoon of SMC will jointly lead Allison+Partners Korea, bringing their collective 80 years of experience to the agency.

“Jacklin, YR and I are pleased to join forces with Allison+Partners to expand our offerings and provide quality service on a global scale,” said Jeong.  “We look forward to joining the Allison+Partners family and adding our capabilities to the strong regional network.”

Jeong will serve as Managing Director, Technology + B2B. Under her leadership, M&K PR has grown from a small IT PR firm into the largest technology communications agency in Korea. She has served as a senior consultant to such leading global companies and counseled many multinational companies with their entry into the Korean market. Jeong is also a noted expert in blockchain technology, having recently authored “BLOCKCHAIN to Master in One Night, the Beginner’s Guide to Blockchain Technology.”  Additionally, Jeong is Vice Chairman of the Korea Public Relations Consultancy Association (KPRCA).

Kim joins the agency as Managing Director, Healthcare + Life. She has a proven track record of success in support of the global pharmaceutical, medical device, public health service, health-functional food and other health and life sciences companies. In addition, she recently expanded the agency’s work to include public affairs and digital healthcare to provide more comprehensive services to clients.

YR Yoon will serve as Managing Director, Consumer + Industry. With 30 years of experience, she has provided insightful communication strategy and implementation to leading global/Korean companies, small and mid-sized enterprises, startup companies, government and public organizations.
